4K30 HDMI extender over Ethernet

This Monoprice 43959 extender transmits HDMI signals up to 70 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It supports 4K resolution at 30 Hz with YCbCr 4:4:4 colour sampling. The transmitter includes an HDMI loop-out for a local display. Power over Cable lets the receiver draw power from the transmitter.

Range limits at 4K30 and 1080p60

At 4K 30 Hz the signal reaches 50 metres, while 1080p at 60 Hz extends to the full 70 metres. Both modes maintain YCbCr 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. The unit complies with HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4 specifications. Smart EDID management handles display handshakes automatically.

Replaces short HDMI runs and separate power

This kit replaces direct HDMI cables that cannot reach beyond a few metres. It also removes the need for a local power outlet at the display side. The jump is worth it when the display sits farther than standard cable limits or when AC power is unavailable at the receiver location.
