It uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and the NVMe 1.4 protocol with a PHISON E27T controller and 2GB DRAM cache. Sequential reads reach 6000 MBps and writes 5000 MBps, while random 4KB performance hits 950000 IOPS read and write.

Build and fit

The M.2 2280 module measures 22mm wide, 80mm long and 2.15mm high with no heatsink, so it fits standard slots in thin laptops and compact boards. 3D NAND flash and LDPC error correction protect data integrity, while end-to-end data path protection and TCG OPAL2.0/Pyrite encryption secure stored files. The drive operates from 0°C to 70°C and idles at 25mW in PS3 state.
