The MSI Z790 MPOWER uses the Intel Z790 chipset on a Micro-ATX board. It accepts LGA 1700 processors from the 12th 13th and 14th generations plus Pentium Gold and Celeron models. Dual-channel DDR5 runs up to 7800 MHz overclocked with a 128 GB ceiling. Two PCIe x16 slots and one x1 slot provide expansion in a compact layout.

VRM heatsinks and fan headers manage thermals

Extended heatsinks cover the power delivery area to dissipate heat during sustained loads. Multiple fan headers allow targeted airflow across the VRM and M.2 zones. The 2.5 Gbps LAN and Realtek ALC897 7.1 audio operate within standard board power limits without adding noticeable acoustic load.

Rear I O includes USB 20Gbps Type C and 10Gbps ports

The back panel supplies one USB 20Gbps Type C three USB 10Gbps Type A four USB 2.0 plus 2.5 Gbps LAN and audio jacks.
