The Netgear GS316-300NAS is an unmanaged 16-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for small offices and home networks that need extra wired connections. It provides plug-and-play operation with no software installation or configuration required. The metal chassis supports desktop, wall-mount or rack-mount placement using the included hardware.

16 RJ45 Ports with 10/100/1000 Auto-Negotiation

Every port handles 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps speeds and auto-negotiates the highest common rate with the connected device. Auto-MDI/MDIX removes the need for crossover cables. A non-blocking architecture delivers full wire-speed throughput across all ports simultaneously. Jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes are supported for large data transfers.

Fanless Design Runs Silent at 8.10 W Typical Power

The switch operates without a fan, making it suitable for noise-sensitive environments such as open-plan offices or living rooms. Typical power draw is 8.10 W and drops to 2.60 W in standby. Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) reduces consumption further during periods of low link utilisation. The unit is powered from an external 12 V DC adapter.
