The Netgear Nighthawk RS500 is a tri-band WiFi 7 router designed for households with heavy wireless demand. It delivers combined wireless speeds up to 12 Gbps across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and the new 6 GHz band. The platform suits users who stream 8K video, play competitive games or run AR/VR applications that need low latency and high throughput.

BE12000 capacity with 2.5 Gbps WAN

The 6 GHz radio uses 320 MHz channels and 4K QAM to reach 5.8 Gbps, while the 5 GHz radio also hits 5.8 Gbps on 160 MHz channels and the 2.4 GHz band adds 0.7 Gbps. A single 2.5 Gbps internet port and three 1 Gbps LAN ports handle multi-gig fibre or cable plans, though the 2.5 Gbps ceiling means plans above that speed cannot be fully utilised. The router supports up to 120 concurrent devices with 2 GB RAM and 512 MB flash for connection tables.

Six internal antennas cover 3,000 sq ft
