This OWC module provides a single 128GB DDR4 2933 PC4-23400 CL21 4Rx4 288-pin 1.2V ECC Load Reduced DIMM. It is built for Dell PowerEdge XR4510c and XR4520c servers and workstations that require registered ECC memory. The module is JEDEC-standard and ROHS compliant for a warranty-safe upgrade.

Load Reduced DDR4 interface limits

Load Reduced DIMMs reduce electrical load on the memory bus to allow higher densities per channel. They cannot be mixed with unbuffered or standard registered ECC modules in the same system. The DDR4 2933 interface also runs at 2133, 2400 and 2666 MHz when the platform requires a lower speed.

Replaces lower-capacity LRDIMMs

This 128GB module replaces smaller Load Reduced DIMMs to increase total memory without adding slots. The upgrade is worthwhile when the server workload needs more capacity per channel and the platform supports 4Rx4 LRDIMMs at DDR4 2933. It is not for desktop PCs or systems that use unbuffered or standard registered memory.
