This OWC kit delivers 1TB of DDR4-2933 ECC Load Reduced memory across eight 128GB modules. It is built for Dell PowerEdge XR4510c and XR4520c servers that require 4Rx4 LRDIMMs. The kit targets administrators expanding capacity in compatible rack or edge platforms. It will not work in standard desktops or systems needing unbuffered or registered DIMMs.

288-pin LRDIMM form factor

Each module uses the 288-pin DDR4 LRDIMM interface with a 1.2V operating voltage and CL21 latency. The load-reduced design reduces electrical load on the memory bus, allowing higher density per channel in supported servers. Modules lack a heat spreader, so airflow in the chassis must be sufficient. Mixing with unbuffered or registered ECC DIMMs is not supported.

JEDEC-standard thermals and power

The memory complies with JEDEC DDR4 specifications and runs at the standard 1.2V, keeping power draw within normal limits for LRDIMM modules. Backward compatibility with 2133, 2400 and 2666MHz speeds allows the kit to clock down if the platform requires it. No additional cooling beyond standard server airflow is specified.
