This OWC kit delivers 64 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory in a matched pair of 32 GB modules. It is built for Cisco HX and C-series M5 servers and workstations that require registered DIMMs with error correction. The modules will not work in standard desktop platforms or alongside unbuffered or load-reduced memory.
Operating at 1.2 V and DDR4 2933 CL21, the modules run within standard JEDEC voltage for registered server memory. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow across the DIMM slots handles thermal management. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, helping keep system power draw predictable under sustained workloads.
Each module uses a 288-pin RDIMM form factor with 2Rx4 organisation, matching the slot layout of the listed Cisco HX220c M5, HX240c M5, HXAF220c M5, HX-E-220M5SX and C480 ML M5 systems. The kit is backward compatible with 2133, 2400 and 2666 MHz bus speeds, allowing deployment in mixed-speed configurations. Buyers needing unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs should look elsewhere.
