The Pimoroni Pirate Audio Line-out is a fully-assembled mini HAT that adds high-quality digital audio and a 1.3" IPS colour display to any 40-pin Raspberry Pi. It uses a PCM5100A DAC chip to deliver 24-bit 192KHz line-level output through a 3.5mm stereo jack. Four tactile buttons provide hardware playback control for local files or streaming services.

Upgrade from basic analogue output

This board replaces the Pi's built-in headphone socket with a dedicated I2S DAC for cleaner, higher-resolution sound.
