Samsung 830 Series 128GB SATA SSD

The Samsung 830 Series is a 2.5 inch internal solid state drive with 128GB of MLC flash memory. It connects through a SATA interface and is built for consumer desktops and laptops that need faster boot and load times than a mechanical disk can provide. The drive uses a Samsung controller and is rated for 1.5 million hours MTBF.

Fits 2.5 inch SATA drive bays

The drive fits any 2.5 inch bay that accepts a 0.28 inch high SATA drive. A single SATA data cable and a SATA power connector are all that is required for installation. No additional drivers are needed for Windows 7, Vista, XP, macOS or Linux. The compact form factor frees up space in small chassis and leaves room for extra storage or airflow.

Low power silent operation

With no moving parts the SSD runs completely silent during everyday use. Idle power draw is 0.08W and active power draw is 0.15W, so it adds minimal heat to the system. Operating humidity range is 5 to 95 percent RH. The low thermal output helps keep overall case temperatures down in tight builds.
