The Seagate ST1000DM003 is a 3.5" internal hard drive with 1TB capacity, 64MB cache and a SATA 6.0Gb/s interface. It suits desktop PCs, all-in-one systems, home servers and entry-level direct-attached storage where large, affordable capacity matters more than peak speed.

Seagate AcuTrac servo technology helps maintain consistent tracking during long read and write sessions. The drive uses up to 1.33TB-per-disk technology and delivers an average latency rated at 6Gb/s, so extended file transfers or backup jobs run steadily without the sharp drops seen in burst-only benchmarks.

Standard 3.5" SATA installation

The bare drive measures 146.99mm long, 101.60mm wide and 19.99mm high, fitting any standard 3.5" bay with SATA data and power cables. Units are supplied erased to DoD 5220.22 M standard, unformatted and unpartitioned, so the OS must initialise them; up to 25 bad sectors may be present and cosmetic label variations can occur.
