This 6U rackmount server chassis provides 48 front-accessible 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bays and two internal 2.5-inch bays. It is built for storage-dense deployments such as cloud storage, big data and security monitoring. The unit fits a standard 19-inch rack and supports E-ATX motherboards up to 12 by 13 inches.

12Gb/s expander backplane with hot-swap cooling

A 12Gb/s expander backplane uses Mini-SAS HD SFF-8643 connectors and includes a temperature-control chipset. Six 12038 and four 8038 ball-bearing fans are hot-swappable and deliver high static pressure to sustain airflow across fully populated drive trays during continuous operation.

Seven half-height slots and 2U power format

Seven half-height PCI/PCIe expansion slots are available for RAID controllers or networking cards. Power is supplied by standard or redundant 2U power supplies. Front-panel controls include power, reset, USB 2.0, power LED, HDD LED and two NID LEDs. Three-section ball-bearing or simple slides are fitted for rack installation.
