The Solidigm D7-P5620 is a 3.2TB enterprise solid-state drive built for data-centre servers. It uses a U.2 15mm form factor with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and 144L TLC 3D NAND. This drive targets workloads that demand high capacity and consistent throughput in a 2.5-inch bay.

Sustained write behaviour

Rated sequential write reaches 3600 MBps with 341000 random write IOPS at 4K blocks. Endurance is specified at 17.5 PBW and MTBF at 2000000 hours. Active power draw is 15W, so thermal planning for the chassis is required. The drive tolerates operating vibration of 2.17 GRMS up to 700 Hz and shock of 1000 G at 0.5 msec.

Installation checks

Verify the server backplane accepts U.2 15mm drives and provides PCIe 4.0 x4 electrical links. Confirm the power budget can supply 15W active per drive and that airflow meets the vibration and shock limits. No OPAL encryption support is present, so encryption must be handled at the controller or software layer.
