The Solidigm D5-P5316 is a 30.72TB enterprise solid-state drive built in a U.2 15mm form factor. It uses 144L QLC 3D NAND and connects through a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface. The drive is new and intended for internal server and data-centre deployments.

Read-intensive workloads vs mixed or write-heavy use

This SSD suits read-intensive applications such as content delivery, data analytics and large-scale object storage where high capacity and sequential throughput matter. It is not designed for workloads that demand sustained high random write performance or the lowest latency. Buyers needing greater write endurance or a smaller physical height should evaluate other options.

Sequential read speed
