The SSK HE-C325 is an aluminium enclosure that accepts a single M.2 NVMe SSD in 2242, 2260 or 2280 sizes. It connects through a USB-C port that runs at USB 3.1 Gen 2 10 Gbps and also supports Thunderbolt 3. A JMS583 controller provides UASP and TRIM support across Windows, Linux and macOS.

For NVMe drives only — SATA and AHCI excluded

This enclosure suits users who want to turn a spare PCIe NVMe M-Key drive into fast external storage. It will not work with M.2 SATA SSDs, PCIe AHCI drives, Wi-Fi or capture cards, mSATA modules or original MacBook SSDs. Builders needing SATA support should choose a different model.

M-Key NVMe requirement decides compatibility

The decisive specification is the internal M.2 M-Key NVMe interface limited to 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. Only PCIe-based NVMe drives up to 4 TB are supported; SATA or AHCI variants will not function.
