Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports at 10 Gbps
This PCIe 3.0 x2 expansion card adds two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A connectors to a desktop or server. The ASMedia ASM3142 controller delivers up to 10 Gbps per port and supports UASP for faster storage transfers. It fits systems with an x4, x8 or x16 slot and includes both full-height and low-profile brackets for standard or slim chassis.
10 Gbps per port limited by PCIe generation
Each port can reach 10 Gbps when the host slot runs at PCIe 3.0 or 2.0 speeds; a Gen 1.0 slot caps throughput at 2.5 Gbps. The card draws up to 4.5 W total (5 V at 0.9 A) from the optional SATA power header, so bus-powered drives and high-current peripherals work without a separate adapter. Backward compatibility covers USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices.
ASM3142 controller with SATA power and dual brackets
The ASM3142 chipset handles multiple IN transactions to maintain bandwidth with mixed-speed devices connected simultaneously. A 15-pin SATA power connector on the card supplements slot power for consistent port output. Both standard and low-profile brackets are supplied, letting the card fit full-height or slim enclosures without extra parts.
