Extended ATX Server Motherboard
The Supermicro MBD-X11SPA-TF-O is an Extended ATX server motherboard built for Intel Xeon Scalable processors. It uses the LGA 3647 socket and the Intel C621 chipset to support 1st and 2nd Generation Xeon Scalable CPUs. Twelve DDR4 288-pin slots accept up to 3TB of ECC RDIMM, LRDIMM or Intel Optane Persistent Memory. The board targets compute-intensive workloads such as AI, deep learning and simulation.
Suited for high-density storage and 10GbE networking
Builders who need eight SATA 6.0Gb/s ports and four M.2 PCI-E 3.0 x4 slots with RAID 0 and 1 support will find the storage layout flexible. Dual LAN provides a 10Gbps Aquantia AQC107 port plus an Intel I210-AT Gigabit connection and a dedicated IPMI interface. Systems requiring more than seven PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots or 25GbE connectivity fall outside this feature set.
Twelve DDR4 slots with 3TB maximum capacity
The single specification that decides fit is the memory subsystem: twelve 288-pin DDR4 slots running at 2933MHz with a 3TB ceiling for 3DS ECC RDIMM, LRDIMM or Optane Persistent Memory. This density determines whether the board meets the workload’s RAM requirements.
