Dual Xeon 4310 storage server

This 4U rack system ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4310 processors, each providing 12 cores at 2.10 GHz, and 256 GB of DDR4-3200 ECC memory across 16 slots. It targets organisations that need a dense, general-purpose platform for virtualisation, database or backup workloads. The chassis includes six hot-swap 8 cm fans and dual 2600 W titanium power supplies for redundant cooling and power.

90-bay top-loading capacity

The defining specification is the 90 hot-swap 3.5" or 2.5" SAS/SATA drive bays accessed from the top of the chassis, plus four rear 2.5" NVMe bays and two rear 2.5" SATA bays. A Broadcom 3916 RAID adapter provides 16 internal SAS3 ports at 12 Gb/s over PCIe 4.0, supporting up to 240 devices. Four 20 TB SATA drives and one 960 GB M.2 NVMe SSD are factory-installed.

Tool-less drive installation

All 90 front bays and the six rear bays use tool-less carriers, so drives can be added or replaced without opening the chassis. The M.2 slots accept 80 mm modules and are accessible after removing the top cover. Installers must verify that the SAS backplane cabling matches the desired RAID topology before powering on, as mis-wired ports are the most common cause of unrecognised volumes.
