The Synology RKS-02 is a sliding rail kit designed for rackmount NAS units. It allows the chassis to extend outward on rails so administrators can service drives or internal components without removing the appliance from the rack. The kit is sold new and fits standard square-hole or round-hole posts.

Compatibility and rack constraints

This kit supports a wide range of Synology rackmount models across the FS, SA, RS and RX series from the 14 through 21 series. Buyers whose racks have mount-post spacing below 450 mm, panel width below 480 mm, or mounting depth outside the 610 mm to 890 mm range cannot use this kit. Square-hole posts smaller than 9.5 mm or round-hole posts smaller than 7.1 mm are also unsuitable.

Deciding specification
