The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage system built for edge deployments, branch offices and remote business workloads. It ships fully assembled and tested with 4GB DDR4 memory and four 4TB Synology Plus drives installed, providing 16TB of raw capacity out of the box.

Four hot-swappable bays and redundant power

Four front-accessible bays accept compatible 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs and support hot-swap replacement without downtime. Four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports enable Link Aggregation and automatic failover, while a PCIe Gen3 slot allows adding 10GbE, 25GbE or M.2 SSD adapters. Dual redundant power supplies and an operating range of 0°C to 35°C suit continuous rack environments.

Verify rack space, expansion and memory needs

Confirm the 44 mm height, 480 mm width and 492.6 mm depth fit your rack and allow cable clearance. The single PCIe slot accommodates only one add-in card, so choose between faster networking or M.2 caching. Memory is fixed at 4GB and cannot be upgraded. One RX426 expansion unit can be attached for up to eight bays total; no further expansion is supported.
