The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage system built for edge deployments, branch offices and remote business workloads. It ships fully assembled with 16GB DDR4 memory, 1.6TB enterprise cache and four 16TB Synology Plus drives for 64TB raw capacity. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor at 2.2 GHz powers the platform.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal operation

The chassis operates between 0 °C and 35 °C with humidity tolerance of 5 to 95 percent relative humidity. Redundant 100-240 VAC power supplies draw from standard mains at 50 or 60 Hz. Four 1GbE RJ-45 ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide connectivity without adding external adapters.

Behaviour under sustained load rather than short

Sequential throughput reaches over 2000 MB/s read and 1300 MB/s write in the vendor-tested configuration. Link aggregation across the four 1GbE ports enables bandwidth scaling, load balancing and automatic failover during continuous workloads. A PCIe Gen3 slot accepts 10GbE, 25GbE or M.2 SSD adapters, and one RX426 expansion unit can extend the system to eight bays and 192 TB raw capacity.
