Compact 1U Rackmount NAS for Edge Deployments

The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built for edge deployments, branch offices and remote business workloads. It runs on a quad-core, eight-thread AMD Ryzen V1500B processor at 2.2 GHz with 4GB DDR4 RAM. Four 6TB Synology Plus drives provide 24TB raw capacity in a fully assembled and tested unit.

Sustained Sequential Performance Over 2000 MB/s Read

Under Synology tested configuration the system delivers sequential read performance over 2000 MB/s and write performance over 1300 MB/s. Four integrated 1GbE ports support Link Aggregation for bandwidth increase, load balancing and automatic network failover. A PCIe Gen3 slot allows adding a 10GbE or 25GbE adapter, an M.2 SSD adapter or a combined M.2 and 10GbE adapter. Compatible SSDs can be used for caching to reduce latency and improve IOPS in HDD arrays.

Hot-Swap Bays and Expansion Unit Simplify Growth

Four hot-swappable drive bays accept 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs for straightforward drive replacement. One Synology RX426 expansion unit can be connected to increase the system to eight bays and up to 192 TB raw storage using supported 24 TB drives. The unit operates between 0°C and 35°C with 5 to 95 percent relative humidity on 100-240 VAC 50/60Hz power.
