The Ubiquiti AI LPR is a 4K bullet camera designed for outdoor license-plate recognition on vehicles moving up to 90 km/h. It covers up to two lanes of traffic and includes integrated microphones for audio recording.

Outdoor mounting and zoom setup

Installation follows standard bullet-camera practice for exposed outdoor locations. The 3x optical zoom must be adjusted on-site to frame the target lanes; incorrect zoom or aim is the most common cause of missed plate reads.

Recognition limits at night

Infrared illumination reaches 15 m (50 ft), so plates beyond that range will not be captured after dark. The smart detector classifies people, animals and vehicles, but the LPR function is specialised for plates and does not extend general surveillance analytics.
