Product identity

The UVC-G4-Dome is a 4MP PoE network camera built for overhead and wide-area surveillance. It captures 2688 x 1512 video at 24 FPS through a fixed lens with a 102.4° horizontal field of view. Integrated IR LEDs provide night vision up to 30 ft. The IPx4-rated and IK08-rated enclosure resists water and impact for outdoor covered mounting. Two-way audio is handled by a built-in microphone and speaker.

Installation check

Verify that your network switch or injector supplies Power over Ethernet, as the camera draws both data and power through its single GbE RJ45 port. No Micro SD slot is present, so recording storage must be provided by a UniFi Protect console or compatible NVR. The unit is not wireless and requires a wired Ethernet run to the mounting location. Ensure the fixed focal length and 86° horizontal view match the desired coverage area before ordering.

Sustained operation

Continuous 24 FPS streaming is maintained over the PoE link without reliance on batteries or local storage. The IR illumination activates automatically in low light, preserving image clarity during extended night periods. The weather-resistant housing protects the 5MP CMOS sensor and internal electronics from moisture ingress during prolonged outdoor exposure. Vandal-resistant construction helps the camera remain functional after physical impacts.
