UV Purple LED Strip 30 cm

Two 30 cm strips each contain 18 SMD 5050 LEDs and connect via a Molex plug to a 12 V rail. The magnets use black sintered NdFeB material and hold only on ferrous surfaces inside the case.

Upgrade from basic single-colour strips

The UV wavelength makes fluorescent coolant, cables or paint glow brighter than standard purple LEDs. The jump is worth it when you want reactive lighting without adding a separate controller or software.

Check clearance and power before ordering

Verify the case has flat steel panels for the magnets to grip and a free Molex connector on the PSU. The 20 cm lead per strip limits placement to areas within that reach of the power cable.

The black sintered NdFeB magnets hold the strips firmly on iron or steel surfaces; they will not stick to aluminium, plastic or non-ferrous panels.

How do I connect the Molex plug without powering the strip before the PSU is off?

Route the 7.9 in cable to a free Molex header, ensure the system is powered down and unplugged, then press the keyed connector in until it clicks — reversing it can bend pins.

When should I replace the 5050 SMD LEDs if the UV output fades?

The 18 LEDs per strip are rated for long life at 12 V; plan to swap both 30 cm strips when the purple glow noticeably dims or becomes uneven.
