The VIEWERA V172BN2 is a 17-inch flat-panel monitor with a 1280 x 1024 SXGA resolution and a 5 ms response time. It provides 250 cd/m2 brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio across 16.7 million colours. Horizontal and vertical viewing angles reach 170° and 160° respectively, while the panel operates at a vertical refresh rate of 50 to 75 Hz.

Suited to analogue CCTV and legacy PC installations

Installers who need both a D-Sub and a BNC loop-through connector on the same screen will find the combination convenient for daisy-chaining cameras or recorders. VESA 75 x 75 mm mounting and a tilt-only stand keep the unit simple to deploy on walls or brackets. Buyers who require digital inputs such as HDMI or DisplayPort, higher pixel densities, or a fully adjustable ergonomic stand should consider other models.

Handles standard-definition surveillance

The native 1280 x 1024 grid displays 4:3 analogue video without scaling artefacts, and the 5 ms response keeps motion readable in typical security feeds. Built-in 2 W speakers provide basic audio monitoring where a separate speaker is impractical. The panel runs from a 100–240 V supply drawing up to 40 W maximum. It is not designed for colour-critical imaging, fast-paced gaming, or multi-monitor productivity setups that demand higher resolutions or faster refresh rates.
