The WD RE series WD5003ABYZ is a 500GB 3.5 inch SATA hard drive built for 24x7 enterprise workloads. It spins at 7200 RPM with a 64MB cache and a 6.0Gb/s interface. Rated for up to 100% duty cycle, it targets servers and storage arrays needing sustained throughput.

Bare drive packaging

The package contains the hard drive only, with no screws, cables or manuals supplied. Installers must source mounting hardware and data cables separately. This keeps the box minimal but requires extra parts before the drive can be used.

Standard 3.5 inch SATA fit

The drive uses the common 3.5 inch form factor with a maximum height of 26.10mm, width of 101.60mm and length of 147.00mm.
