Purpose and Audience

The WRIARICH HDMI2SDI converts a single HDMI source into two simultaneous 3G-SDI or HD-SDI outputs for professional video workflows. It accepts HDMI 1.3 signals up to 1080P at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz plus common PC resolutions and embeds audio in sync with the picture. The unit is aimed at camera operators, CCTV installers and broadcast engineers who need to feed SDI monitors or recorders from an HDMI camera or switcher. It is not suited for users who require SDI-to-HDMI conversion or bi-directional signal routing.

Setup Checks

Verify that your HDMI source matches one of the listed input formats: 480I, 480P, 576I, 576P, 720P at 50 or 60 Hz, 1080I at 50 or 60 Hz, or 1080P at 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz. Confirm the source uses HDMI Type A and complies with HDCP 1.3. Ensure each SDI run stays within 100 metres for 3G-SDI or 200 metres for HD-SDI using appropriate coaxial cable. The converter includes a power adapter; no external supply beyond that is required. Do not connect an SDI source expecting HDMI output.

The aluminium enclosure measures 5.83 by 4.49 by 2.44 inches and weighs 7.8 ounces with no moving parts, so operation is silent. Power is drawn solely from the supplied adapter; the specification notes no need for an additional external supply. Built-in ESD protection guards the circuitry during handling. Under normal use the unit runs cool enough for desktop or rack placement without forced airflow.
