128 GB DDR5 ECC registered kit with four 32 GB dual-rank modules at 4800 MHz for 16th-generation Dell PowerEdge servers
Capacity 128GB (4 x 32GB)
Struck-through versions exist but are not stocked here.
This 128GB kit contains four 32GB DDR5 RDIMM modules built for Dell PowerEdge 16th Gen rack and tower servers including the T560, R660, R660xs, R6615, R6625, R760, R760xa, R760xd2, R760xs, R7615, R7625, R860 and R960. It is ECC Registered memory and will not work in desktop or laptop systems that require non-ECC unbuffered modules.
The modules operate at 1.10V without heat spreaders, relying on server chassis airflow for cooling. Registered buffering and ECC add minimal latency overhead while maintaining signal integrity at 4800MHz. Power draw scales with the four-module population and the dual-rank 2Rx8 organisation.
Populating four slots with dual-rank 32GB modules maximises per-channel capacity on supported platforms. The EC8 RDIMM design enables error correction and registered signalling for data integrity under sustained workloads. Mixing speeds forces the system to run at the slowest installed module.
Buyers who need non-ECC unbuffered memory for consumer desktops or laptops cannot use this kit. Systems that do not support DDR5 288-pin RDIMM form factor or EC8 registered operation are incompatible.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Populate the DIMM slots following the server's channel guide; the step most often missed is seating each 288-pin module until both ejector clips click, otherwise the 2Rx8 registered DIMMs will not initialise.
No scheduled maintenance is required; if a module fails, replace it with another DDR5 4800 EC8 RDIMM 2Rx8 1.1 V DIMM to keep ECC and registered operation intact.
The DDR5 4800 CL40 timing at 1.1 V sets the throughput ceiling; sustained heavy loads will hit that bandwidth limit before thermal or voltage headroom is reached.
