MAIWO
Dual-bay 2.5" SATA enclosure with USB 3.1 Gen2, hardware RAID 0/1, 10 Gbps speed and aluminium cooling for two drives up to 12 TB total
Material Aluminum
External Interface USB3.1 Gen2
Model RAID Enclosure
The MAIWO K25272C accepts two 2.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs up to 9.5 mm thick and presents them over a single USB 3.1 Gen 2 link. Hardware RAID modes 0, 1, Large and Normal are selectable by a physical switch on the chassis. The aluminium shell acts as a heatsink and an automatic sleep mode spins the drives down after ten minutes of inactivity.
Verify that each drive is a 2.5-inch SATA model no thicker than 9.5 mm; 3.5-inch drives and IDE units are not supported. The host must provide a USB Type-C or Type-A port running at USB 3.1 Gen 2, 3.0, 2.0 or 1.1 speeds. An operating system capable of recognising hardware RAID volumes — Windows XP through 10, Linux or macOS — is required to access the configured array.
A USB-C-to-C cable and a USB-C-to-A cable are included so the enclosure connects to modern or legacy ports without an adapter. The optional DC power input supplies extra current when two high-capacity drives are installed, ensuring stable transfers. Because the RAID logic lives inside the enclosure, the host sees a single volume, freeing drive bays and SATA ports inside the computer for other storage.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The enclosure ships with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable; two 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs must be purchased separately.
RAID 0 stripes data across both drives for maximum throughput, RAID 1 mirrors for redundancy, Large spans them as one volume, and Normal treats them as independent disks.
The 10 Gbps interface supports UASP and is backward compatible with USB 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1; actual throughput depends on the installed SATA drives and host controller.
