OWC
A 64 GB DDR3 ECC registered kit of four 16 GB modules running at 1866 MHz CL13 for compatible servers and workstations
Capacity 64GB (4 x 16GB)
Rank 2Rx4
This 64GB kit contains four 16GB DDR3 1866 registered ECC modules built to JEDEC PC3-14900 CL13 specifications at 1.5V. The 240-pin 2Rx4 DIMMs are designed for workstations, servers and NAS systems that require registered memory with error correction.
The modules work only in platforms that support DDR3 registered ECC RDIMMs and cannot be mixed with unbuffered memory. Builders upgrading standard desktop boards or consumer laptops must choose a different memory type.
Each 16GB DIMM adds a full rank pair, letting the kit fill four slots for maximum registered-channel population. Headroom ends when all supported registered slots are occupied or when the platform limit for DDR3 registered memory is reached.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Yes. The modules are 240-pin DDR3 RDIMMs that run at 1.5 V with ECC and registered signalling, so the board must provide those exact electrical and mechanical interfaces.
No. The manufacturer highlights state that registered memory cannot be mixed with unbuffered memory, so all slots must use registered modules of matching specification.
Check the BIOS memory information or a utility such as CPU-Z; it should report DDR3-1866 (PC3-14900) at CAS 13 for each of the four 16 GB modules.
