64 GB kit of eight 8 GB DDR3L 1333 ECC registered RDIMMs for Cisco UCS B440 M2 servers
Capacity 64GB (8 x 8GB)
This OWC upgrade kit supplies 64 GB of registered DDR3L memory in eight 8 GB modules. It is built for the Cisco UCS B440 M2 blade server and other workstation or server platforms that require 240-pin ECC registered DIMMs. Standard desktop computers cannot use this memory type.
Each module runs at 1.35 V and meets PC3L-10600 timing at CL9 latency. The registered buffer and ECC circuitry provide the data-integrity and signal-stability that multi-socket server boards demand. Mixing these DIMMs with unbuffered or load-reduced memory is not supported.
Eight slots filled with 8 GB DIMMs give the B440 M2 its maximum supported memory in this configuration, allowing dense virtual-machine hosting and large in-memory databases. Systems limited to fewer DIMM slots or lower per-slot limits will not accept the full kit.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
No, the ECC registered DDR3L modules are solid-state components with no moving parts or serviceable items; they are installed once and remain in place for the life of the server.
The memory controller on the Cisco UCS B440 M2 caps usable speed at DDR3L 1333, so bandwidth saturates before voltage or thermal limits become a factor.
Each module draws 1.35 V at standard DDR3L current, producing modest heat that the B440 M2's existing airflow handles without extra cooling.
