This OWC module provides 64GB of DDR4 3200 memory in a single 288-pin registered DIMM. It is built for Gigabyte E252-P30, E252-P31, G242-P31, G242-P32 and G242-P33 servers and workstations that require ECC registered RAM. Standard desktop computers cannot use this module.
The module runs at 1.2V with a CAS latency of 22 and conforms to the PC4-25600 JEDEC standard. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow in the server chassis handles cooling. Registered buffering adds a clock cycle but reduces electrical load on the memory controller.
The 2Rx4 registered design means this DIMM must not be combined with unbuffered or ECC load-reduced memory in the same system. It is backward compatible with 2133, 2400, 2666 and 2933MHz bus speeds, allowing use in older Gigabyte platforms that support those rates.
