The Solidigm D5-P5430 is a 3.84 TB enterprise solid-state drive built in a U.2 15 mm form factor that fits 2.5 inch bays. It uses 192-layer QLC 3D NAND and connects through a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe interface for internal server and data-centre deployments.
The PCIe 4.0 x4 link caps sequential throughput at 7000 MB/s read and 3000 MB/s write while random 4 KB reads reach 971000 IOPS and writes only 120 IOPS. Sustained write workloads will therefore hit the interface and media limits far sooner than read-heavy tasks.
