This 32GB DDR3 module runs at 1866 MHz with CL13 latency and 1.5V operation. It uses a 4Rx4 load-reduced design with ECC for data integrity. The 240-pin DIMM targets server and workstation platforms that require registered memory.
Load-reduced buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller during continuous operation. ECC corrects single-bit errors in real time to prevent data corruption. The major-brand chipset and 1.5V standard voltage support consistent throughput under heavy multi-threaded workloads.
DDR3 1866 (PC3-14900) tops out at this speed grade and voltage. The 4Rx4 organisation demands a compatible memory controller and BIOS that support quad-rank LRDIMMs. Systems limited to lower speeds, standard RDIMMs, or non-ECC memory cannot use this module.

The board needs DDR3 DIMM slots wired for load-reduced ECC memory, a memory controller that supports 4Rx4 organisation, and BIOS/firmware that can initialise PC3-14900 modules at 1866 MHz.
If the platform supports mixed speeds, the memory controller will typically clock all populated channels down to the slowest installed module's rated frequency and tightest common timings.
