The ASUSTOR AS6706T is a diskless 6-bay desktop NAS powered by a quad-core Intel Celeron N5105 processor running at 2.0 GHz with burst up to 2.9 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory, expandable to 16 GB via two SODIMM slots. The unit targets home and small-office users who want a personal cloud for backup, media streaming and 4K transcoding without pre-installed drives.

Dual 2.5GbE ports and four M.2 2280 slots

Two 2.5-Gigabit Ethernet ports provide high-speed wired connectivity for multi-user access. Four M.2 slots accept NVMe SSDs for caching or storage, installed tool-free using latches. A PCIe 3.0 slot allows adding a 10GbE network card or additional M.2 drives. Extra ventilation keeps M.2 drives cool during sustained workloads. USB 3.2 Gen 2 and flexible drive support

Front and rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports at 10 Gbps enable fast external storage or peripheral connections.
