The Dell PowerEdge R530 is a 2U rack server built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2630 V3 eight-core processor running at 2.4 GHz with 24 GB of DDR4 memory. It targets IT teams deploying virtualisation hosts, database nodes or internal application tiers where hot-swap drive bays and redundant power are required. The chassis supports a second processor for future growth.

Eight 3.5-Inch Hot-Swap Bays with H730 RAID

The defining specification is the eight 3.5-inch hot-plug bays backed by a Dell PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. This combination lets you configure up to 80 TB of raw SAS or SATA capacity without downtime when a drive fails. No solid-state drives are installed.

Dual 750 W Supplies and iDRAC8 Remote Management

Two 750 W redundant power supplies keep the system running if one unit fails. The integrated iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller provides out-of-band hardware monitoring, remote console access and firmware updates over a dedicated network port. A DVD-ROM drive and power cable are included; rails, bezel, keyboard and mouse are not.
