A single Xeon E5-2650 V3 provides ten cores at 2.3 GHz with twenty threads, while 24 GB of DDR4 across the 24 DIMM slots gives a starting point for memory-hungry workloads. The PERC H730 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection.

Sustained load behaviour with redundant power

Dual 750 W hot-swap power supplies share the load so the server remains online if one unit fails or is replaced during operation. The 1U chassis uses high-speed fans that ramp with inlet temperature, keeping the CPU and memory within thermal limits during continuous multi-threaded jobs. PCIe 3.0 slots and the dedicated PERC slot stay powered without throttling, allowing add-in cards such as 10 GbE adapters to maintain line-rate throughput over long periods.
