This 1U rack server ships with a single six-core Intel Xeon E5-2609 V3 running at 1.9GHz and 64GB of DDR4 memory. The chassis supports up to two processors and a maximum of 1536GB across 24 DIMM slots. It is suited for virtualisation hosts, database nodes or general-purpose compute in dense racks. Buyers needing more than one CPU or larger memory out of the box should plan an upgrade.

Redundant power and ten hot-plug bays

Two 750W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy without shutting down. The front holds ten 2.5-inch bays for SAS or SATA drives, all managed by the H330 12Gbps RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Four 1GbE ports come on the daughter card, with optional 10GbE upgrades. The Matrox G200 handles basic video output. No drive trays or drives are included.

Check CPU socket count and drive tray stock

Verify the motherboard has the second socket populated or order the additional processor kit if dual-CPU performance is required. Confirm you have compatible 2.5-inch drive trays, as none are supplied. Ensure the rack depth accommodates the 26.8-inch length and that the 12Gbps SAS/SATA backplane matches your drive selection. The iDRAC8 Express licence is default; Enterprise features need a separate upgrade.
