It targets workloads that need high thread count in minimal space, such as virtualization hosts, container clusters or database nodes. The chassis supports up to 3 TB of DDR4 across 24 slots, though only 128 GB is installed.

Verify rack depth and network cabling

Confirm your rack can accommodate a 1U server with sliding rails and that front-access 2.5-inch drive bays align with your service aisle. The system ships with a quad-port daughter card providing two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links, so ensure your top-of-rack switches have matching SFP+ ports and cabling. Power cords for dual 750 W supplies must reach separate PDU circuits.

Included rails, bezel and iDRAC 9 Enterprise

Ready Rails let the unit slide in and out for maintenance without tools, while the front bezel covers drive bays for a clean appearance. iDRAC 9 Enterprise provides dedicated remote console, virtual media and full lifecycle management over a separate management network. The PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache enables RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the eight 300 GB 10K SAS drives.
