Dual 18-Core Xeon Server

The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors. Each CPU delivers 18 cores running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64 GB of DDR4 2133 MHz registered ECC memory across four modules. It targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce, VDI, databases or high-performance computing workloads.

PERC H730 RAID Controller

Storage is handled by a Dell PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache and a battery backup. It supports SAS and SATA drives with RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Eight 300 GB 10K SAS 12 Gb/s 2.5-inch hard drives are installed in the front bays. This configuration replaces older arrays limited to slower controllers or smaller drive counts when higher IOPS and hardware RAID flexibility are required.
