The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v3 processors running at 2.6 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency. Redundant 750 W platinum power supplies

Two hot-swap 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. The 2U chassis uses Dell's engineered airflow to cool dual processors, 512 GB of registered ECC DDR4 memory across 24 DIMM slots and eight 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives. iDRAC 8 Enterprise provides remote thermal monitoring and power management without requiring physical access to the rack.

PERC H730 controller with battery-backed cache

The Dell PERC H730 1 GB controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode for software-defined storage. Its battery-backed cache protects in-flight writes during unexpected power loss. The quad-port network daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ connections for flexible uplinks. ReadyRails and a front bezel are included for immediate rack installation.
