The PowerEdge R730 packs two Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each with 14 cores at 2.0 GHz and a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. 512 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory fills 16 of the 24 available slots. This configuration targets midsize enterprises running virtual desktop infrastructure, data warehouses or high-performance computing nodes.

Sustained load handling

Dual 750 W platinum power supplies provide hot-swap redundancy for continuous operation. The PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache backs eight 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives in RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60.
