A single Intel Xeon E5-2609 v3 six-core processor running at 1.9GHz and 64GB of DDR4 memory provide a balanced compute base for file serving, backup targets or software-defined storage clusters.

Controller and drives ready for RAID

The integrated H330 12Gbps RAID controller supports levels 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60, letting the three included 900GB 10K SAS drives be configured for performance or redundancy immediately. Twenty-four 2.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA media, so capacity can grow without downtime or additional controller cards.

Redundant power and remote management

Dual 750W hot-swap power supplies maintain uptime during a module failure or routine maintenance. The iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller enables out-of-band monitoring, firmware updates and virtual console access from any networked workstation. Four onboard 1GbE ports and up to six PCIe 3.0 slots handle standard networking and optional 10GbE daughter cards.
