Dual 16-core Xeon server for compute-heavy workloads

This 2U rack system ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6142 processors at 2.6 GHz, each offering 16 cores and a 3.7 GHz turbo frequency. 128 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory fills eight of the 24 available slots. The configuration targets virtualization hosts, database nodes and other multi-threaded tasks that benefit from high core counts and large memory capacity.

Redundant 750 W platinum supplies and hot-swap power

Dual 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide N+1 redundancy with hot-swap replacement. The 2U chassis uses forced-air cooling across the CPUs, memory risers and eight 2.5-inch drive bays. Acoustic output scales with inlet temperature and workload; under typical data-centre conditions the system remains within Dell’s specified thermal envelope for continuous operation.

H730P RAID, quad-port networking

The PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode across the eight installed 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives. A quad-port daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links for flexible fabric connectivity. iDRAC9 Enterprise enables full out-of-band management, remote console and lifecycle automation without an operating system. Rails and front bezel are included for immediate rack mounting.
