Two Intel Xeon Gold 6142 processors provide 32 total cores running at 2.6 GHz with 3.7 GHz turbo capability. 512 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory occupies 16 of the 24 available slots, leaving room for expansion up to 3 TB.

Build integration

The chassis holds 24 front-accessible 2.5-inch trays that accept both SAS and SATA drives, letting you populate capacity or performance tiers as needed. Dual 1100 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies operate in redundant hot-swap mode. The Intel C620 chipset and LGA 3647 sockets support the installed processor pair at its maximum count. Buyers who need 3.5-inch drive bays or a smaller 1U footprint cannot use this platform.

Controller and management

A PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache enables RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through operation. An Intel X520/I350 daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports for flexible networking. iDRAC 9 Enterprise provides full out-of-band remote management. ReadyRails and a front bezel are included for immediate rack mounting.
