Two Intel Xeon Gold 6142 processors provide 32 total cores at 2.6 GHz with 3.7 GHz turbo, while 768 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory fills all 24 slots.

Integrated controller and networking bundle

The PERC H730P 2 GB controller enables RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through across 24 drive bays. A quad-port network daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ connections, and iDRAC 9 Enterprise delivers full out-of-band remote management.

SAS interface and bay population limits

All 24 front bays are occupied by 1.2 TB 10K SAS drives, so no additional 2.5 inch devices can be added without removing existing disks. The 12 Gb/s SAS backbone caps individual drive throughput, and the two-processor maximum means CPU expansion stops at the installed pair.
