The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server built for small-office and remote-office workloads such as file and print serving, mail, messaging and web serving. Two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors each provide 16 cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.0 GHz turbo, giving 32 total cores for multi-threaded applications. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules.

Installed memory occupies eight of twelve slots, leaving four slots open to reach the 384 GB maximum. Eight 4 TB 7.2K SATA 3.5-inch drives deliver 32 TB raw capacity behind the Dell PERC H730 1 GB controller, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. All drive bays are populated, so further capacity expansion requires larger drives or an external enclosure.

Redundant hot-swap 750 W platinum power supplies maintain uptime if one unit fails. Integrated iDRAC 8 Express provides remote management for monitoring and maintenance without physical access.
