It includes two 146 GB 15K SAS drives managed by a Smart HBA H240ar controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The chassis provides eight small form factor drive bays and dual 500 W redundant power supplies.

The system ships with one processor installed; the socket for a second CPU is empty and the board offers 24 DDR4 DIMM slots with a 48 GB installed capacity. Drive trays for the 2.5 inch SAS bays are included with the two drives, but additional bays or NVME options require separate hardware.

Sustained load with dual supplies and 15K drives

Dual redundant power supplies share the load continuously, reducing thermal stress on each unit during extended operation. The 15K RPM SAS drives maintain consistent throughput for random I/O workloads, while the H240ar controller offloads parity calculations for RAID 5, 6, 50 or 60 without saturating the 12 Gb SAS link. ECC registered DDR4 protects data integrity over long compute runs.
