This 2U rack server ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2643v3 six-core processor running at 3.4GHz and 8GB of DDR4 ECC memory. It is built for organisations that need a dense, redundant platform for virtualisation, database or general compute workloads in a standard rack. The chassis supports a second processor for up to 12 physical cores when demand grows.

Redundant hot-swap power and 24-bay SAS storage

Dual 500W hot-swap power supplies keep the system running if one unit fails, and both can be replaced without downtime. The front panel holds 24 small-form-factor 2.5-inch drive bays connected to a Smart Array P440 controller with 4GB flash-backed write cache. Two 146GB 15K SAS drives are installed, and the controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection.

P440 controller cache and memory headroom

The P440’s 4GB flash-backed write cache accelerates write-heavy applications and preserves data during unexpected power loss. Memory can scale to 3TB across 24 DDR4 DIMM slots when both processor sockets are populated, using registered ECC modules up to 64GB each. No operating system is included, so the server is ready for a hypervisor or OS of your choice.
